Account Deletion
Permanently delete your VocaFlip account and data
⚠️ Important Warning
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Before proceeding, please note:
- All your study progress will be permanently deleted
- Your custom words and collections will be lost
- Your learning statistics and achievements will be removed
- Any premium subscription will be cancelled
- You will not be able to recover your account or data
How to Delete Your Account
Method 1: Delete from the App (Recommended)
- Open the VocaFlip app on your device
- Go to Settings (gear icon)
- Scroll to the Account section
- Tap Delete Account
- Read the warning message carefully
- Confirm by tapping Delete Account and All Data
This is the fastest method and ensures immediate deletion of your local data.
Method 2: Delete via Email
Send an email to privacy@takemeway.studio with:
- Subject: "Account Deletion Request - VocaFlip"
- Your registered email address
- Your user ID (found in Settings → Account)
We will process your request within 48 hours and send confirmation.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
Deletion Timeline
Immediately: Your account is deactivated and you're signed out
Within 24 hours: Your personal data is removed from active systems
Within 30 days: All data is permanently deleted from backups
After 30 days: No trace of your account remains in our systems
Data That Will Be Deleted
- Account Information: Email, name, profile data
- Learning Data: Progress, statistics, achievements
- Custom Content: Personal word lists, notes, preferences
- Usage Data: App activity, session history
- Authentication Tokens: Sign-in credentials and sessions
Data That May Be Retained
In accordance with legal requirements, we may retain:
- Transaction records for tax purposes (7 years)
- Anonymized aggregate statistics
- Records required for legal compliance
Export Your Data First
Before deleting your account, you can export your data:
- Go to Settings → Account
- Tap Export My Data
- Choose the format (JSON or CSV)
- Save the file to your device
Reactivation Policy
Once your account is deleted, it cannot be reactivated. If you want to use VocaFlip again, you'll need to create a new account and start fresh.
